Terrorist attacks, mass shootings, school shootings and community violence have drastically increased, leading to a spike in PTSD, anxiety disorders, panic attacks and depression. The rapid increase in traumatic events create an opportunity for trained mental health professionals to join with media to provide recovery information to help the general public. This interactive session will equip you with what you need to do in partnering with media, (radio, television, print or Internet), in order to achieve a positive outcome. You will learn how to work with the media before, during and after a critical incident with a powerful communication model that has been successfully used to empower people with critical incident recovery information. An interactive workbook will be given to each participant to enhance this media training experience.
